Founded in 1912, Henry Funeral Service has served the needs of the Polish-American Community ever since. During the 1960's, the present location was designed and built specifically as a funeral home across the street from Our Lady of Czestochowa Church at 33 Ward Street, Worcester.

Dirsa-Morin Funeral Homes, Inc., and John J. Kazlauskas acquired the firm in 1996, maintaining the long tradition of local ownership.

John J. Kazlauskas, CFSP(Certified Funeral Service Practicioner), is a first generation funeral director, licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 1967. He is President and CEO of the company and currently serves as Past Chairman of the Board of Registration in Funeral Service for the Commonwealth Of Massachusetts. An aggressive consumer advocate, Mr. Kazlauskas has served on the Board since 1988. He also serves as President of The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards, and has been an active member of The Professional Policy Committee. Additionally, in April 2002 Mr. Kazlauskas was elected Vice President of The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards. A longtime member and former Director of The Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association, he co-founded The Greater Worcester Funeral Directors Association in 1979.

Since assuming control, John Kazlauskas and Dirsa-Morin Inc. has completly renovated the Henry-Dirsa Funeral Service facility and its main visitation room has been nearly doubled in size. Although built with an eye to easy access for all, the 2000-2001 renovation perfected the Funeral Home's handicapped accessibility. The facility is decorated in a traditional decor, designed to meet the needs of the many families we now serve.

Henry-Dirsa Funeral Service, as a part of Dirsa-Morin Funeral Homes Inc. Funeral and Cremation Service, also offers a comprehensive array of funeral choices that are designed to meet the emotional, religious and cultural needs of its diverse clientele. With a complete showroom display of traditional and non-traditional products and services, our caring staff of licensed professionals is available around the clock to serve your needs.

We are large enough to provide you with the service appropriate to your needs, however simple or elaborate, yet small enough to respond immediately to the fulfillment of your needs.
